Noise Induced Hearing Loss.

Occurs as a result of sustained exposure to excessive noise combined with a lack of adequate hearing protection over a period of time.

You’ll know because your family will complain you have the TV to loud or your wife says you’re not listening to her!

You’ll find it difficult to follow a conversation

You may hear noises in your head or suffer from Tinnitus.

Causes.

Lack of hearing protection (Ear-plugs, Amplivox, PIHPS.)
Live firing.
Helicopters.
Radio “white noise”
Working around armoured vehicles.
Controlled detonations.
